Billy, in a suit amongst bookshelves

So far, I have really been enjoying my time on the EPEV programme. I am quite an outspoken individual who advocates for ethnic minority groups to create change within society by utilising our voices and civil liberties through the electoral systems around us, from local councils to government officials. Therefore, I was already sold by the name of the programme and joined without hesitation. Having Shereen Williams as a mentor has been great as she’s helped me to learn more about the boundaries of these systems, as well as the way local democracy affects everyday people from bin collections, speed bumps, parks etc. I would highly recommend the programme to others as I feel that my discussions with Shereen as well as the weekly support of Linus and everyone at EPEV has encouraged others to equally use their voices to positively impact their communities.
