I joined the Equal Power Equal Voice, mentoring programme with the aim of increasing my knowledge of important policy matters in Wales and widening my networks.

I would recommend the programme to others as I feel that this is a chance to speak out and stand up for change – to be an agent of change, thinking beyond legally protected characteristics and embracing all the nuanced varieties of ‘us’. Without a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, lived experiences, and ways of working we immediately limit our creative capacity.

I see myself working in the United Nations or Welsh Government as an international relations translator or lead policy officer re writing the narrative for future generations, ensuring that it is inclusive to all and represents the accurate history of all groups.
