Eleanor

“I joined EPEV during a very difficult time of my life where I was facing workplace discrimination that was a major blow to my confidence and mental health. Having access to seats of power for marginalised people really appealed to me.

The support and encouragement I received through my mentor and EPEV in general has helped me through my situation. It has been a validating experience for me, encouraging me to reevaluate my circumstances and discuss my own small business ideas with my mentor.

A highlight for me was getting to visit BBC Wales and challenging the CEO about articles from the organisation that had content that I considered transphobic, citing stories that I had researched. I was nervous before making my comment but felt the support from the group during the exchange and was pleased to have come and aired that grievance”.
